In the hearth of famous tuscan countryside, the Settemerli Farmhouse of Florence is located in a old building, far away from the noicy town but at the same time only few mintues from the old town centre. Close to the Firenze – Certosa way out of motorway A1 and of the highway to Siena, this comfortable farmhouse is encircled by age-old trees and immersed in quiet of Chianti's green hills, between rows of vineyards and olive groves, streams and cypress.
The comfortable Settemerli Farmhouse, easily reachable by car and by bus, is the excellent solution for all tourists who wish to admire all artistical and architectual masterpieces of Florence but, at the same time, to enjoy their relaxing stay in the striking view of Tuscan countryside. If you arrive by car, you could stop next to the gate of reception and go on until our private carpark, which is free for our guests.
Thanks to his location, you can reach easily and in a short time many destinations such as Siena and San Gimignano. The farmhouse is very close to the famous Certosa of Florence, built by Niccolò Acciaioli in 1342. It is worth a visit, above all for the hosts paintings of various florentine artists including Pontorno and Della Robbia. You can organize pleasant walks and make excursions, but also go to visit farms where Chianti red wine is produced.
Live in Florence
An excellent bus service, passing every ten minutes, allows to reach the railway station and the Duomo Cathedral in fifteen minutes. So, you could visit all museums and artistic highlights that Florence can offer, but you can do shopping in the most elegant shops or in the typical San Lorenzo Market. The bus stop is in front of the main entrance of our farmhouse and the bus tickets are on sale at our reception office.
Our staff will give you any informations you need, be pleased to supply you with a detailed city map and offer suggestions for the best locations to visit.
Not far from our farmhouse, there are many restaurants and “trattorie”, where you can taste the typical tuscany cooking and famous italian wines, such as Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino. |

How to reach us
By Airplane - From Amerigo Vespucci Airport Of Florence, you can easily arrive at the Settemerli Farmhouse by taxi (approximately 15 minutes time) or by bus (approximately 25 minutes time).
By train - You can take whether a taxi or a bus. It takes approximately 10 minutes time to reach the Settemerli Farmhouse from the Central train station Santa Maria Novella. The bus stop is close to our main entrance.
By car - If you are arriving to Florence by car, you may use our car park. It is free and reseved for our guests.
• From Rome and Milan
Take the motorway A1 until Florence-Certosa. Turn into Via Cassia (SR2) and stay on for 800m and turn into Via Senese (SR2). Stay on for 1.1 km and turn left into Via de' Giandonati. Stay in for 80m and turn left into via Volterrana, stay on for 700m. You have just arrived at your destination Fattoria Settemerli.
• From Florence center
You start at Piazzale di Porta Romana in Firenze and head towards Via Senese (SR2) and stay on for 3.1 km. Turn right into Via Volterrana. Stay on for 900 m. You have arrived at your destination Fattoria Settemerli.
• From Siena
Head towards Firenze-Siena highway. Stay on for 1.4 km. Leave Superstrada Firenze-Siena and head straightforward onto Firenze-Siena highway (A1). Stay on for 55 km. Exit onto Via Cassia (SR2) and stay on for 0.8 km. Leave Via Cassia and head straightforward onto Via Senese (SR2). Stay on for 1.1 km. Leave Via Senese and turn left into Via de' Giandonati. Stay on for 80 m. Leave Via de' Giandonati and turn left into Via Volterrana. Stay on for 740 m. You have arrived at your destination Fattoria Settemerli.
